Objects visible in this photo include:

  • The named stars in Cancer: Asellus Australis, Asellus Borealis, and Acubens.
  • The Beehive, M 44, is a large open cluster easily visible to the naked eye. M 44 is also known as Praesepe, "the Manger." The two Aselli (the Asses) are said to be feeding at the Manger.
  • The very old open cluster M 67.
