Objects visible in this photo include:

  • The bright stars Capella (magnitude 0.08), Menkalinan (1.89) and Elnath (1.65). Elnath is located in Taurus, but it is part of the conspicuous pentagon comprising the Auriga asterism.
  • Open clusters M36, M37, and M38.
  • Bright nebulae IC 405 (Flaming Star Nebula) and IC 410.

Lens: 50mm f/1.8 lens at f/2.8
Film: Store brand ASA 400 color print film
Exposure: 10 minutes, tracked with motor-driven barn door camera mount.
